Registry Easy: the software that sped up my PC! July 19, 2010 No Comments
I’ve been writing some blog posts about my journey past the “my pc is running slow” era, and into the new found “I can scan and fix my computer, make it faster with the click of a button”. As I’ve mentioned, I achieved this feat without having to purchase a new computer or even spending money on computer parts. I did spend some money on the Registry Easy software, but it costs less than a single video-game… so needless to say it really was a bargain, considering how it save me so many headaches and helped increase my productivity.
My PC Was running slow… and then I learned about Registry Easy.
I feel like praising heavens to this software. Lol, it may sound like a little to much, but I was just weary and hopeless from having to put up with a slow computer. It seemed as though the simplest tasks such as sending an e-mail would always take so much longer than they were supposed to. I was always on the edge while using my computer, and I regularly felt like doing crazy stuff such as smashing up my computer with a chair, or just punching the wall. Fortunately my friend told me to try using registry easy, and it certainly did the trick (check here for the official website).
What is Registry Easy and how can it make a computer faster?
Registry Easy is a program that takes care of scanning, managing and organizing your computer’s registry. That’s kind of like your computer’s wardrobe… the place where your computer keeps all the stuff it needs to go about and do its thing. Well, if you’re like me you’re not too worried with how it works… just as long as it does work. Right? And in case you’re worrying you might not know how to use this software… don’t. If you can install a computer program (which isn’t exactly rocket science) that’s really all it takes, since after getting installed, Registry Easy will pretty much do its thing on auto-pilot.
Who can benefit from using the Registry Easy software?
If you usually get frustrated with any of these computer problems, Registry Easy will be able to help you:
- Sluggish and unresponsive computer.
- computer keeps freezing or crashing all the time.
- You keep getting error messages you don’t really understand.
- Your computer keeps getting blank screens or blue screens.
- Unexpected and unwanted pop-ups.
- Technical error messages such as ‘Unable to load dll’.
Does Registry Easy really work?
Understand why your PC is slow: The “Computer Wardrobe” metaphor. July 17, 2010 No Comments
I was thinking about my previous attempt at explaining what a registry cleaner is, and I’m not sure whether I managed to express the whole concept accurately in technical terms. Like I said before, I’m a computer novice and I’m not good at explaining this kind of thing. But I showed the previous post to my tech friend, and he came up with an analogy which I think makes it easier to understand the whole idea.
Let’s call this the Wardrobe analogy to “my computer is running slow“.
Forget your PC for a minute, let’s consider something we all can relate with more easily: a wardrobe. It doesn’t matter if your wardrobe is comprised of highly fashionable and elegant pieces of clothing… if you don’t clean it up properly, it will start getting messy in little to no time. If you aren’t careful to do your laundry and keep different types of clothes separated and stacked up just right, you know what’s gonna happen, right?
Yup, you’ll start having a harder time finding the clothes you want when you need them. You’ll start wasting more and more time sorting trough a clumsy pile of garments to find that one t-shirt you so enjoy. After a while, you’ll realize you spend much more time getting dressed, because your wardrobe isn’t organized. Isn’t that right? Well, with computers it’s very much the same thing, and you can think of your computer’s registry as its virtual wardrobe: unless it’s properly organized and kept clean, your computer will start having a harder time finding the items it needs to function, and as direct result it will invariably get slower.
So, this registry cleaner software I’ve been talking about can be conceived of as kind of a specialized wardrobe maid devised to assist your computer. It will go through your computer’s “wardrobe” and make sure everything is neatly separated and organized in its respective place. It will do the laundry, steam press the clothes, dry clean the sensitive garments, and stack everything nicely right where it should be. Needless to day, that will make it much easier for your computer to get “ready for action” whenever you’re using it.
Okay, so I hope this makes sense. I suppose by know you’re starting to understand how this software can help you stop saying the sentence “my computer is running slow”. In the next post I’ll do a little review about this computer program, so stay tuned!
What is the Windows Registry and how does it make PCs get slower? July 14, 2010 1 Comment
Ok, so this is me trying to explain a somewhat technical subject. Keep in mind I’m no techie, so if you are this will probably sound like a clumsy explanation. But if you are on the same level of computer knowledge as I am (next to none), this explanation might actually make sense and help you understand how a software like this can effectively help fix your problems related with having a PC that’s running slow.
Simply put, the registry is the section of your computer that holds the information holding everything together. So when you install a new program or do anything that changes your computer settings, it messes up your registry a little bit. After you normally use your computer for a few months, the registry will easily get messed up and out of order… and that will tend to progressively make your computer run slower, until it gets so cluttered that its performance gets terrible.
Before they invented programs that could scan a computer’s registry and sort everything out, make it organized and neat, there was only one way of fixing a slow running PC: that would be to format and reinstall the hard drive. And that was usually a major hassle because it implied either having do to backups of your information or losing it. Fortunately, some smart guys came up with the idea of creating a piece of software that would work in the background of your computer, to make sure all the data from new programs is neatly organized, so the computer doesn’t get stuffed full with redundant information that will start “clogging its processing pipes”, so to speak.
If you’re regularly distressed because your computer is too slow, and you don’t want to get a new computer, this kind of software will be a valuable help. It will make your computer feel as responsive as when it was brand new, and that will make your life a lot easier! This kind of software is geared at novice users like you and me, so there’s no need to worry about learning how to use it. If you can install a normal computer program, that’s pretty much all the skill you need. From there on, the software will do its thing pretty much on auto-pilot, and you will never again have to worry because your PC is running slow!
My PC *was* running slow, this is how I fixed it. July 12, 2010 No Comments
It’s really infuriating, when a PC with just over one year old insists on running slow. There are many annoying things I hate in this world, but few things get me as mad and frustrated as waiting several minutes for my word processor to open, or getting all sort of unexpected computer crashes and slow-downs. And that was pretty much my daily routine, just a few years back.
I was actually thinking about getting a new computer by then… but come on! I purchased this machine in late 2008, and it was top of the line back then! Is that how it works nowadays? Are computers supposed to be that quickly expendable? As a matter of fact, no they aren’t. But for people lacking technical skill it may sometimes feel like they are. As I said, I was really on the verge of kicking my PC out the window and just going to the store pick up another one. But then I happened to mention this problem to a friend who’s a bit of a tech wizard.
Right off, he told me I wouldn’t have to buy a new computer. In fact, he started laughing like a madman when I mentioned my PC was running to slow and I suspected it had already worn off its parts. I felt like I had just said something really stupid; but this friend of mine, being a cool guy and all, he noticed i was getting upset and quickly dropped the mockery.
“That’s easy, man. You just have to format your hard drive and reinstall your operating system, and your computer will get as fast as it was when you picked it up from the store” to which I replied something in the lines of “so it’s format and reinstall and… say what?”. Then he told me he would just format and reinstall for me, but I would have to backup all my files first. Which sounded like an awful lot of work to me, so my natural reaction was asking if there wasn’t an easier way to do it.
“Well, actually there is. You can just use a good registry cleaner software, that might just do the trick“; having said so, he suggested I tried using this outstanding computer program that would scan, repair and speed up my PC rather easily. I didn’t hesitate to try it, mostly because 1)I’m a sucker for simple and efficient solutions, and 2) I rather enjoyed the prospect of being able to fix my PC by myself using this software, as opposed to relying on a friend every-time my computer started running slow once again.
So that was how I fixed my sluggish computer. I didn’t have to buy expensive hardware or get a new computer. I didn’t have to spend money on technical support or bother my friends to fix my computer. I just got this inexpensive piece of software that scanned and fixed my computer… and the best part was that I didn’t have to format my PC, so I didn’t have to worry about doing backups or losing my documents. I just installed the program, let it do a system check, and is less time than I could finish my sudoku puzzle, it was done. It really worked, and it was easy as pie!
A memorial of “my PC is running slow”. July 8, 2010 No Comments
This website is a memorial to the expression “My PC is running slow”. Just a few weeks ago, that used to be a very common sentence in my personal lingo… and I really, really hated that. Sometimes I uttered this phrase loudly, in vibrant anger; other times I just coiled back, tired and hopeless and sighed out how…. my pc is running slow… again.
That is now a thing of the past, since I recently managed to solve this problem. In fact, I came across such an unexpected solution to my sluggish computer situation that I felt like putting together this website: as a beacon of hope (if you will) to computer users throughout the world who are troubled with similar situations.
Just so you know, I’m really just a regular computer user; my technical skill is almost none as well as my computer knowledge or even interest in computer-related technical stuff. I think of my computer as a tool, and I don’t know or care exactly how it works; just as long as it’s fast, responsive and gets the job done. Which goes to say, I never really knew or imagined that I could make my PC faster without buying new computer parts, or even getting a new computer. Fortunately, someone told me a little trick that turned out to be a real gem of advice.
You see, sometimes a computer will start getting slow not because it’s old or outdated, but simply because it’s got information overload. Unless you format your hard drive and reinstall up your operating system every few months, any computer will gradually start getting slower as you install new software and applications.
Well… to make a long story short. When your computer starts acting up because it’s jam-packed with too much information, you don’t need to format your operating system or even get a new computer. Quite often, all it takes is using a special kind of software called a “registry cleaner”; this sort of program will go through your computer system and delete redundant files and re-organize your operating system without interfering with your documents.
I’m really not good at all with tech stuff, so I can’t exactly explain how it works. All I know is that I installed that program and let it do its thing on auto-pilot. Less than one hour later my computer was much more responsive and efficient… just like it was over a year and a half ago when I first bought it!
I’ll be writing a few posts with more details on how a registry cleaner works, while trying to cover come worries that may come across your mind (such as they came across mine); if you’re also frustrated because you always find yourself muttering “my computer is running slow”, I think this website will be of real value!
With that said, make yourself at home in this cozy blog, and feel free to comment if you have any questions or remarks! Welcome aboard, and get ready to wipe out the phrase “my computer is running slow” out of your daily routine… for good!
